free catalog, hmmmmm bet its an arm n leg
i read this on there
| Quote: | | The above drawing shows the main heating unit |
i dont see any drawings anywhere on the page, must be part of the free catalog, i see a pic, but its so small it just looks like a can with a bolt sticking out the top, and just motor oil and a zinc coated rod or screw, oh wait he left out details so not to give away the secret
maybe i just need to research oil atoms, i read about chemical reactions creating heat, isnt that how they came up with the diner packs that heat up with a drop of water
nothing good is free

Nah, those are, IIRC, magnesium. Probably with some sort of coating to activate it. Or calcium metal, which *is* spontaneously reactive with water. Oil molecules, and the atoms they're made of, are suprisingly stable. I mean, sheesh, how hot does your <fuel> burner have to be to get the damn stuff to stay lit? Over a thousand degrees!

My oil burner only uses the atoms, not the oil, I swear!
for the catalog if you enter random info, as in "asfklghalsfh" for the catalog request, then tell it to download rather then get mailed to you, you can get it as a PDF. it's even funnier... _________________ quod ego dico |

Should work well.
Only problem with this type of project is sourcing enough plutonium, which can be both difficult to obtain and expensive for the typical, average, home hobbyist.. |

Well, Chatster seems to have dumped their Java client for the time being, but a number of diehard fans have moved to EFNet (which seems to be who hosts Chatster).
You can connect by installing an IRC client, e.g.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16
and connecting to the server at irc.efnet.net then join #thefoundry.
